Jimmie Nell Douglas, age 99, Citrus Springs, FL, formerly of Hernando, FL died at home on April 5, 2021 under the care of her family and HPH Hospice.
Mrs. Douglas was born in Winfield, AL on January 22, 1922 to the late Earley and Myriel (Cook) Pate. She moved to Citrus County with her late husband, Almer L. Douglas in 1976. She was a homemaker and a long time member of the Inverness Church of God.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Alma Nell Tankersley, Citrus Springs, FL; 1 brother, Ernest Pate, Riviera Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Almer L. Douglas on October 18, 1989; her son, Wyman Blair Douglas; 2 sisters: Willie Paulk and Bonnie Bowers.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness with Rev. David Lucas, pastor of the Inverness Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
