Beverly Miller Werner of Inverness, Fl passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on February 20, 2021. Beverly was born to the late Harold Miller Brice and Sylvia Brice on November 2nd 1937 in Somerville , N.J. Beverly was married to Francis “Frank” Werner for 57 years until his passing. Beverly and Frank made Citrus County their home after Franks Retirement from the Navy.
Beverly had a music career early in life, appearing on the Nashville Stage. She made Album plus singles, knew many of the old greats. Beverly and her Mother Sylvia, known as the Brice Sisters, played many venues. Her Heritage, mother and dad opened the first women’s boutique in downtown Inverness until retirement. Her brother, LeRoy Brice and his wife Phyllis, opened Brice Insurance and retired after 30 years.
Beverly worked in administration at the Citrus Memorial Hospital when it was the original hospital. She went on to graduate college and became a Psychiatric Nurse. She worked for the VA Hospital in Gainesville for many years until she was injured.
Beverly leaves behind, her brother LeRoy W. Brice and sister in law Phyllis Brice; Nephews: Gregory Brice and Anthony Brice; Great Nephews: Dillion and Lee Brice; Nieces: Keanna Brice, Alexandria Brice; Great-Great Nieces: Barbie, Charlene and Athena Brice.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness and will be conducted by Father Claudius Mganga of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation beginning at 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Beverly will be laid to rest privately with her husband Frank at Florida National Cemetery at a later date.
