Betty M. Barry of Inverness, FL passed away while under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto on February 10, 2021 at the age of 94. Betty was born on July 27, 1926.
She traveled extensively throughout her lifetime and was quite adventurous. Betty’s favorite mode of travel was by RV. In fact, she met her husband Richard at a motor home park in Bushnell, FL. She was driving a 40 foot RV at the time when she asked a kind gentleman to assist her with parking. They were married on January 1, 2012.
Betty could navigate and drive just about anything and never had an accident. She had navigated a 64 foot yacht and was a twin engine airplane pilot that had flown throughout the mainland United States, Alaska and South America. Betty’s last RV trip occurred at the beginning of 2019 when she and her husband Richard went to the motor home park where they met in Bushnell, FL and spent some time there to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year.
Betty will be deeply missed by her husband Richard. She was preceded in death by several siblings. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
