Wanda “Sue” Wiltshire of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away on February 2nd, 2021. She was 82 years old when she passed peacefully at Osprey Point Nursing Center in Bushnell, FL.
Sue was born to the late Charles and Ione Weeks, of Dexter Missouri, on August 6th, 1938.
In 1961 Sue married Johnny Wiltshire whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage before he preceded her in death, on December 6th, 2020.
John and Sue had recently relocated to Lake Panasoffkee, Florida after living most their lives in Alton, Illinois. They were both Catholic by Faith.
Sue was active with the Girl Scouts for more than ten years. She enjoyed traveling around the country, with John, on their motorcycle. She absolutely loved sports. She was a big fan of the St. Louis Browns that later turned to St. Louis Cardinals.
After raising her girls, Sue went back to school to become a CNA and worked for VIP Manor in Woodriver, Illinois before retiring in 2000.
What Sue was most proud of were her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and taking them on summer vacations. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and puzzles.
Sue was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mike Dobbs, in 2017. Those left to mourn Sue include her daughters: Catherine Hokenson-Price and her husband Gary Price of Cottage Hills, IL & Doris Dobbs of Murphysboro, IL; brother: Grogean Weeks; sister: Charles Ann Deghuee; her 6 grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Friday, February 12th, 2021 at 3pm at Chas E Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, FL. and will be conducted by Paul Giglio of Calvary Chapel, Inverness. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until the hour of service. Sue will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under care of Chas E Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
