Elizabeth “Beth” L DeFazio

Elizabeth Lucille “Beth” DeFazio, 82, of Floral City, FL passed away on December 31, 2020 at Arbor Trail Rehab and Nursing of Inverness, FL. She was born to the late Phares Green and Dorothy Esther (Woods) Bithell on July 11, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years and in 1982, married her beloved late husband, Dominic. She and her husband Dominic made Citrus County their home that same year when they moved from St. Petersburg, FL. Elizabeth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Inverness, FL where she was a member of the Tuesday Ladies’ Circle.
Elizabeth will be remembered for being a friend to everyone; she was always there for anyone that needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on. She loved to volunteer for various organizations and charities and was very involved in volunteering at her church. She participated in Meals on Wheels and enjoyed serving others. Elizabeth also volunteered her time and visited with patients in the hospital or those under hospice care. Elizabeth was one of a kind who overflowed with compassion and love for others.
Elizabeth, along with her parents, was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominic; her one brother; and her two sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her five children, David Lewis (Angie) of Floral City, FL, Jeffrey Lewis (Brenda) of Lady Lake, FL, Elmer Lewis (Liz) of Floral City, FL, Darryl Lewis (Cyndi) of Ravensdale, WA, and Gregory Lewis (Rachelle) of Kirkland, WA; her 15 cherished grandchildren; and her 10 adored great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home is scheduled for Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Fonfara officiating. Friends and family are welcome to gather for a time of fellowship, beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Elizabeth’s urn will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Dominic, at Florida National Cemetery of Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements and Cremation with Care is under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
