Fayetta Whytsell

Fayetta “Jean” Whytsell, 94 of Inverness, passed away at the Legacy House Hospice in Ocala on December 3, 2020. Jean was born on January 23, 1926 in Green Bank, West Virginia, to the late Ray L. and Florence May (Jones) Lambert. She came to Citrus County over 40 years ago from Bradenton, FL and was Baptist by faith.

Jean enjoyed crochet, sewing and playing the piano. She enjoyed living at Highland Place in Inverness, and especially enjoyed the activities there. Her favorite eating spot was the Olive Garden restaurant.

Those left to cherish Jean’s memory are her granddaughter, Dr. Tina Whytsell Merritt of Rogers, AR; her great grandchildren: Colton Hatley of Rogers, AR, and Johnathan Hatley of Fairbanks, LA; her nieces: Dee Conrad and her husband Del, Paula K. Ringer and Cheryl Wilt; nephew, Rocky Ramsey; 5 sisters: Eloise, Sherlene, Arlene, Peggy and May. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Roland E. Whytsell on February 26, 2011, and her 3 sons: Ric, Danny and Roger.

Cremation with care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
