Arvilla L. Johnson, 81, of Inverness, passed away November 23, 2020 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto. Arvilla was born in Minneapolis, Kansas, to the late Mosway and Lola (Wheeler) Stout, on December 31, 1938. She came to Citrus County 35 years ago from Tampa, FL.
Arvilla was an assembly line worker for AT & T. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, cooking and exercising at the local gym. Additionally, she spent many hours on the trail walking with her dogs. She was a member of the CMH volunteers.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Robert Smith of Riverview, FL and Larry Smith of Mulberry, FL; her daughters: Debbie Gibson of Inverness and Diane Wolfe of Jacksonville; 4 brothers: Melvin, Cecil, Keith and Jimmy, all of Kansas; her sister, Jean, of Kansas; 5 grandchildren and11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Dallas C. Johnson, on November 17, 2005.
A Celebration of Life for Arvilla will be conducted on Saturday, November 28th at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness. Burial will follow at the Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City. Friends may visit with the family from 12 noon until the hour of service.
