Simon Leiner

Simon Leiner, 92, of Hernando, FL passed away on October 2nd, 2020 at his home. Simon was born to the late Jacob and Bessie (Shogan) Leiner on October 15th, 1927 in Bronx, NY and in 1967 he married his beloved wife, Arline. Together, they made Hernando their home for the past 25 years when they moved from Tamarac, FL. Simon owned and operated his own printing business for 45 years and bravely served our great nation as a member of the United States Army. He was Jewish by faith and was a very devoted husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Simon enjoyed playing the trumpet, fishing, boating, and bowling.
Along with his parents, Simon is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and by his step-son, Garry Seidner. Those left to cherish Simon’s memory are his wife, Arline; his three step-children, David Seidner of Post Falls, Idaho, Gail Brenner (Mark) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Leigh Seidner of Sunrise, FL; his 12 grandchildren; and his 19 great-grandchildren. Simon was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Arrangements for Simon are private. Simon’s urn will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
