Ramone “Sonny” Tompkins

Ramone “Sonny” Tompkins, 72, of Floral City, FL passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at his residence in Floral City. He was born in Gainesville, FL on October 30, 1947 to the late Earl Woodlen and Vanice (Asbell) Tompkins. Sonny was an equipment operator in the agriculture industry and arrived in this area in 1983, coming from High Springs, FL. and loved bass fishing on the lake at his home. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Sonny was preceded in death by his loving wife of 10 years, Theresa Tompkins in 1996. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Shotwell and her husband Garrett on Lecanto, FL; step-son Hartley Spurlock of Gainesville, FL; sister Sara Jo Osteen; and 3 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Gathering of Family and Friends is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
