Jules Verne Wheeler, 91, of Bushnell, FL passed away in Brooksville, FL on September 24th, 2020. He was born to the late Verne and Josie (Ownby) Wheeler on November 2nd, 1928 in Roswell, New Mexico. Jules worked as a machinist for the majority of his life and on September 25th, 1953, he married the love of his life, Mary (Booth). He and his wife made sunny Florida their home in 2013 when they moved from Saco, Maine. Jules enjoyed attending the Bushnell Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and he was a faithful witness for 63 years. Jules also enjoyed reading, watching football and baseball (especially the Red Sox) and most of all, he enjoyed long drives through parts of Maine, NH, and Vermont with his wife, Mary.
Along with his parents, Jules is preceded in death by two of his sisters, Jewell Crockett and Betty Jean Clark. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary; his daughters, Sandra Marquis (Raymond) of Florida, Rosemary Pollard (Dana) of Florida, and Patricia Bennett (Billy) of Bushnell, FL; his son, Michael Wheeler of Georgia; his sister, Laura Damon of Woster, Vermont; and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements for Jules are private. Cremation with Care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
