Jeffrey George Jackson, Sr. of Inverness, FL passed away at his home while surrounded by his loving family and while under the care of HPH Hospice on September 17, 2020 at the age of 63. Jeffrey was born in Hollywood, FL on September 6, 1957 and was one of two sons of the late Edmond Griffith and Mary Louise (Scull) Jackson. He graduated from Miramar High School in 1975 and went on to earn Associate Degrees in both Nursing and Art. On January 8, 1977 Jeffrey married Catherine (Oehler) with whom he shared 43 years of loving marriage. He and Catherine made Citrus County their home 13 years ago after relocating from Asheville, NC. Jeffrey was an extremely talented artist and especially enjoyed wildlife drawing. He was also an exceptional musician and singer and played both saxophone and dulcimer.
In addition to his wife Catherine, those left to mourn Jeffrey’s passing include his son, Jeffrey George Jackson, Jr and his wife Katie of Asheville, NC; daughter, Sara Love and her husband Jarrett of Inverness, FL; brother, Bruce Jackson and his wife Moira of Cooper City, FL; and seven grandchildren: Seth, Serena, Sterling, Scarlett, Isaiah, Isaac and Elijah.
A Celebration of Jeffrey’s life is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Calvary Chapel of Inverness at 4:00 PM and will be conducted by Jeffrey Jackson, Jr. and Pastor Kevin Ballard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Calvary Chapel of Inverness Roof Repair Fund, 960 S. US Highway 41, Inverness, FL 34450. Cremation care by the Chas E.
