Sharon L Watkins

Sharon Lee Watkins, 72, of Lecanto, FL passed away August 19, 2020 at Brentwood Lodge in Lecanto. She was born in Rochester, NY on February 21, 1948 to the late Howard and Ann (Colony) Gilliland. Sharon was a musician. She played bass guitar in a local band known as “Sparky Gillilon and the Country Swingers”. Sharon attended the Assembly of God Church in Inverness and the Crystal River Moose Lodge. She loved computers and playing poker. Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband Gene Watkins in 2008, 2 brothers, Dennis and Ronald Gilliland; and 1 sister Barbara Vasquez. She is survived by her son, Steven Kidd of Pasco County, FL; her daughter, Tracy Rouse of Hernando, FL; and her best friend Debra Reynolds of Lakeland, FL; and many grandchildren. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
