Mary Lou Hunter of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on July 19, 2020 at the age of 86. Mary was born in Corning, NY on November 23, 1933 to the late Lorey and Editha (Gee) Allington. On February 19, 1960 she married Milford Hunter with whom she shared 60 years of loving marriage. Mary and Milford made Citrus County their home in 1993 after relocating from Corning, NY. She loved taking her family camping when her children were young. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her loving husband Milford, those left to mourn Mary’s passing include her daughters: Barbara Garber (Samuel), Brenda Hunter (John Cavallaro); brother, Donald Allington; sisters: Betty Robenolt, Jacqueline Allington; grandchildren: Tori Garber and Mary Beth Garber. Mary was preceded in death by brothers: James and Thomas Allington and sister, Eleanor Cole.
A Gathering and Sharing of Remembrance is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness. Burial will be private at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
