Phyllis Jason

Phyllis Jason, 84, of Inverness, FL passed away June 14, 2020 under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL. She was born in Worcester, MA on July 17, 1935 to the late Joseph and Nellie (Kaslauskas) Rowland. Phyllis was a convenience store manager, and arrived in this area in 1981, coming from Hubbardston, MA. She had attended St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Crystal River, FL. Phyllis enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She loved cooking and going fishing. Phyllis was preceded in death by one son, Frank Cassano, one brother, Richard Rowland, and one sister, Eleanor Meservey. She is survived by her children Steven and Joseph Cassano of Webster, MA, Robert Cassano of Hubbardston, MA, James Cassano and his wife Carrina of Barre, MA, and Cheryl Prescott and her husband Russell of Barre, MA.; numerous grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
