Robert Haven Hailey, Jr. of Inverness, FL passed away at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL while surrounded by his loving family on June 15, 2020 at the age of 61. Robert was born in St. Petersburg, FL to the late Letitia (Slaughter) and Robert Haven Hailey, Sr. on July 31, 1958. On July 29th he would have celebrated 31 years of loving marriage to his wife Mildred (Wood) Hailey. He and Mildred visited Citrus County for a number of years before relocating from North Carolina to make it their permanent home 10 years ago. Robert was an expert in car restoration and really enjoyed attending car shows. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time on his boat and tending to the cows on his farm. Robert truly adored his wife and daughters and loved spending time with “his girls”.
In addition to his wife Mildred, those left to mourn Robert’s passing include his daughters: Channing Hailey of Syracuse, NY, Chapell Hailey of Salem, OR, Deborah Hunter and her husband Daniel of Franklin, NC; his 16 year old granddaughter, Emily Hunter and his 12 year old grandson, Cayden Hunter.
