Budd LeRoy Norman, 89 of Citrus Springs, passed away on June 16, 2020 under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice, at his home. Born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 12, 1930, to the late Dale and Viola (Davenport) Norman, he came to Citrus County 17 years ago from Michigan. A Baptist by faith, he was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Citrus Springs. He loved his church and all the church activities. He served the Lord as a Missionary for the Continental Baptist Mission for over 30 years. He also enjoyed farming and drove 18 wheelers. Budd proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Shirley Norman; his sons: Steven Norman of Plainwell, MI, Lester Norman and his wife Tammy of Hudsonville, MI and Ricky Norman of Wyoming, MI; grandchildren: Michelle, Michael (Jane), Sophia, Gabriella, Jason (Leslie); and 3 great grandchildren. Budd was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Norman in 1986.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church in Citrus Springs and will be conducted by Pastor Bob Ladygo. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Immediately following the church service, full military honors will be rendered by the Marion County Memorial Honor Guard. Budd will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
