Raymond L. Stanage “Tree Man Ray”, age 56, resident of Floral City, FL passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on June 15th, 2020. Ray was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to his parents, Gilbert A. and Janell (Saffell) Stanage on January 8th, 1964. He worked as a “Tree Man”, owning and operating his very own business, “Ray’s Tree Care” for many years, where he removed trees from people’s and business’ property. He bravely and honorably served our country as a member of the United States Army and has been with his lovely companion, Dianne Triano, for the past 28 years.
Ray made Citrus County his home in 1985 after moving from Michigan, where he lived the remainder of his life. He will be remembered fondly for his love of fishing, four-wheeling with his grandchildren, and for his adventurous spirit. He is described lovingly as an “avid supporter of Anheuser-Busch” and enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Janell Stanage. Those left to cherish Ray’s memory are his companion, Dianne Triano; his children, Marisa Romano (Joseph) of Inverness, FL, Tiffany Simpson (Allen) of Tampa, FL, Nicole Rice (Jonathan) of Inverness, FL, and Tim Triano (Kimberly) of Hernando, FL; his two brothers, Clyde Stanage of Michigan and Allen (Barbara) Stanage of Floral City, FL; his sister, Sandy Biastock (Richard) of South Carolina; his nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his cherished Rottie pup, Buddy.
Raymond was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Cremation with Care is arranged for Raymond, under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. The family is planning a Celebration of Life that will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Ray & Dianne’s home, where family and friends are welcome to attend and witness a scattering in honor of Ray’s memory and life.
