Gary Gene Reel of Floral City, FL passed away at his home on May 14, 2020 at the age of 69. Gary was born in Marion, IN on August 2, 1950. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Gary went to work for the National Cemetery Association and was the Head Groundskeeper for the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, IN. He retired in 2005 after 35 years of dedicated service. He was also a skilled referee and would referee all sorts of high school sporting events including basketball, baseball and soccer games. Gary always loved visiting Florida and in 2010 relocated from Indiana to make Floral City, FL his permanent home. He truly enjoyed Florida life and especially loved playing golf.
Those left to mourn Gary’s passing include his loving wife, Nancy Reel; stepson, Brenton Ray Folkner of Marion, IN; stepdaughter, Dana Larae Cole and her husband Jay of Alexandria, IN; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Cremation care provided by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
