Howard Louis Peel, Jr. of Lake Panasoffkee, FL passed away at his home on May 7, 2020 at the age of 73. Howard was born in St. Petersburg, FL on September 26, 1946 to the late Ethel (Hill) and Howard Louis Peel, Sr. On April 26 he celebrated 55 years of loving marriage with his wife Janet K. (Jackson) Peel. Howard and Janet made Lake Panasoffkee their home in 1987 after relocating from Pasco County, FL. He owned and operated H.L. Peel Roofing Company in Hernando County for 40 years. Howard liked shopping of any kind but especially enjoyed shopping for antiques and online shopping with Amazon. He loved fishing and R.V. traveling with his wife, his favorite destination being the Smoky Mountains. Howard would often tell his family “the mountains were calling him”, and have the R.V. packed up and ready to leave the very next day.
In addition to his loving wife Janet, those left to mourn Howard’s passing include his son, Howard Peel III; daughters: Lori Levesque, Dawn Broxson, Nichole Holden; brothers: Donald Peel, Billy Gardner; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his long time friends, Ken Nesselrotte and Alan Holmes.
Cremation care is by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
