Robert W. “Bob” Holt, age 81, Hernando, FL passed away suddenly at his home on April 14, 2020. Bob was born in Raleigh, NC on April 25, 1938 to the late Lucas and Odessa Holt.
Bob moved to Citrus County in 1988 from Miami. He had been employed at Burdines Department Store in Miami as a sales clerk. After moving to Citrus County, he worked in the construction industry. He was a member of the Inverness Elks Lodge No. 2522 for many years as a very active member. He was a Past Exalted Ruler (1988-1989) and served on all major lodge committees, Board of Trustees, and major offices.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Marie Holt on February 25, 2016. They were married for 52 years.
Bob is survived by his brother, Jack Holt; 3 step children: John Hogan of Michigan, Daniel Hogan of Hollywood, FL and Patricia Schrader of Palm City, FL; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Bob is under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. At his request, there will be no services. The Inverness Elks Lodge will remember him at a later date.
