Hubert H Noe

Hubert Hase Noe of Inverness, FL passed while under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL on March 25, 2020 at the age of 97. Hubert was born to the late Charles William and Rosa Blaine (Golf) Noe in Gumsville, Kentucky on May 10, 1922. He proudly served his country as an M.P. for the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II. On May 23, 1942 he married Virginia (Forrest) with whom he shared 77 years of loving marriage. Following his military service, Hubert went to work for the United States Postal Service as a Truck Driver retiring in 1985 after 24 years of service. Following retirement, he and his wife Virginia made Citrus County, FL their home after relocating from Louisville, KY. A Southern Baptist by faith, Hubert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rutland. Hubert was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Suburban Lodge #740 in Louisville, KY. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors, his favorite activities being hunting, fishing, camping, boating and water skiing. Hubert and his wife also enjoyed traveling the country together for a number of years.

In addition to his loving wife Virginia, those left to mourn Hubert’s passing include nephews: Ronnie Forrest and his wife Nellie of Shepherdsville, KY, William Mitchell of Mount Olive, AL, Michael Mitchell and his wife Debbie of Louisville, KY, David Mitchell and his wife Kim of Prospect, KY, James Mitchell and his wife Cheryl of Brandenburg, KY; and several great nieces and nephews.

Hubert will be laid to rest in Kentucky at a later date. Cremation care provided by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
