Brenda C. Loomis, Inverness FL passed away at Vitas Hospice IPU in Lecanto, FL on March 7th, 2020 at the age of 79. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 25th, 1940 to the late Edward and Grace (Ambuhl) Cain.
Brenda made Florida her home in 1999 when she relocated from Pennsylvania. She was a homemaker and cherished her family and home life deeply. She was married to the beloved James F. Loomis for 62 beautiful years before he passed away on December 31st, 2019.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Loomis and by her brother, Byron Cain. She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Nichols (Nick) of Inverness, FL; her sister, Audrey Dean; her nine beloved grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Kaycee, Meredith, Karen, Laura, Marcy, Elizabeth, and Kimberly; and 11 cherished great-grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Brenda will be remembered for her love of creating art. She was a talented painter, wood burner, and wood carver. She was a popular local artist who was a multi-award winner for her art at the Inverness State Fair and her artwork has even been shown in the courthouse museum and in Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. Brenda was one of a kind whose beautiful heart shone through her artwork in so many creative ways. Brenda’s memory and love will always be present to those who knew her in the art that she created for the world to enjoy.
