John Bruce Armstrong of Morriston, FL passed away at Brentwood Health Care Center in Lecanto on February 20, 2020 at the age of 78. John was born in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey on May 28, 1941 to the late Marcus and Laura (Steelman) Armstrong. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and retired after having attained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after 26 years of loyal service.
Those left to mourn John’s passing include his loving wife of 55 years, Dagmar (Friedrich) Armstrong; son, Mark Armstrong and his wife Christina; daughter, Tonya Pershica; sister, Katherine Green; and three grandchildren: Austin and Ashley Armstrong and Hannah Pershica. John was preceded in death by his son in law, Kaleb Pershica.
A graveside service with full military honors is scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, March 9, 2020 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL where full military honors will be rendered by the Macdill Air Force Base Honor Guard. Friends are invited to join Bruce’s family at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home to join the procession to the cemetery that will leave promptly at 10:15 AM. Chas E.
