Roberta “Bobbie” N. Lewis-Bernard, of Inverness, FL passed away at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL on February 18th, 2020 at the age of 82. A “born and raised” Floridian, she was born on May 18th, 1937 to the late George R. and Nellie C. (Redding) Bigelow in Brooksville, FL. She worked as a lab technician for the health department for many years.
Along with her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her son, Phillip A. Lewis and her granddaughter, Molly K. Lewis. Bobbie is survived by her beloved husband, Phillip; her son, George D. Lewis (Marie) of Luzerne, Michigan; her daughters, Carolyn D. Denson (Mike) of Howell, Michigan and Sandra L. Mosley of Inverness, FL; her brother, George P. Bigelow (Barbara); eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Bobbie was a phenomenal Genealogist and poet and is described as a “Genealogist Extraordinaire”. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was extremely generous even when she didn’t have a lot to give. She will be remembered by her friends and families as a selfless person who was always willing to help another person when they needed a hand.
A Celebration of Life will be on February 25th. 2020 at 11 am officiated by Father Claudius from Our Lady of Fatima Church, Inverness, FL at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness, FL. Friends and family are welcome to gather and visit at the funeral home at 10 am until the hour of service.
