Oscar Reyes of Hernando, FL passed away at his home on February 7, 2020 at the age of 60. Oscar was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on August 14, 1959 to Aida (Alvarez) and the late Oscar Reyes.
From a young age Oscar would watch his father play baseball, developing his love of sports. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. His excitement and anticipation during the races were further fueled by the sound of the roaring engines, burning tires and trembling stands. Oscar had a passion for motorcycles. Riding on the open road embodied his free spirit, strength and adventurous nature. He often mentioned the ripping engine and breeze “on a dry day” brought him absolute peace.
Oscar is survived by his daughter, Alleyne Odom and her husband Karlos; mother, Aida Reyes; brothers: Edwin Reyes, Dennis Reyes, Joel Reyes; sisters: Ana Reyes, Judith McClellan, Zaida Zayas; and 2 grandchildren: Xzaden Zamora and Kai Jordyn Odom. Oscar will also forever be remembered by his extended family, Joe Lanier, Joe Lanier Sr., and Cindy Schumm.
