Hazel R. Campbell, from Inverness, FL passed away at Vitas Hospice Healthcare of Lecanto, FL at the age of 89. She was born to the late Roosevelt and Virginia (Waters) McPherson on January 22, 1930 in Frenchburg, KY. Hazel moved to the Inverness area in 1992 from Morehead, KY and attended the First Church of God, Inverness, FL.

Along with her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Carpenter; her 2 sons, Eddie Carpenter and Charles Carpenter; her daughter, Olivia Douglas; her brother, Estill McPherson; and her 2 sisters, Pearl Carpenter and Euna Baker. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Lafonda Mauldin and Melody Carpenter; her 2 sons, Manuel (Rita) Carpenter and Teddy (Alicia) Carpenter; her brother, Earl McPherson (Connie); her 2 sisters, Ann Spivey and Lorena Burton; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

Hazel’s Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL with Pastor Dave Shirkey of Vine Life Cowboy Church of Beverly Hills, officiating. The family will receive friends and family in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. A procession will depart from the funeral home to Hills of Rest Cemetery, in Floral City where Hazel will be laid to rest alongside her children following the chapel service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL.
