Brenda Caryn Frye, 57, of Hernando, passed away November 11, 2019 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. Brenda was born in Leesburg, VA on February 16, 1962 to the late Elvin Lee and Ethel Frances (Haynes) Dodson. She came to Citrus County in 2010 from Virginia. She was a construction project manager and Baptist by faith.
The love of Brenda’s life was her family and her “fur babies”. She was a foster Mom for over 350 animals, for the Citrus County Animal Shelter, and had 7 cats and 2 dogs of her own. Brenda was always known as a very honest person.
Brenda is survived by her loving companion of 8 years, Edward Stoddard; her brother, Dale Dodson, WV; sisters: Mabel Costello, WV and Merri C. Hamilton, Dunnellon, FL; son, Rickey Fry, Jr, VA and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, William Dodson, and one sister, Sheilah Crim.
Private cremation with care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
