Emilio Cruz, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on October 16, 2019. He was 83 years of age. Emilio was born in Puerto Rico on December 8, 1935 to the late Pablo and Juana (Garcia Barbosa) Cruz. He was married to Nadia (Melendez) Cruz for 62 years until her passing on March 31, 2016. Emilio and Nadia were residents of Bay Shore, Long Island, NY then relocated to Ensenada, Puerto Rico. They eventually made Beverly Hills, FL their home in 1991 and were parishioners of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Emilio is survived by his children: Maria Lanzarone and her husband Robert of Beverly Hills, FL, Jose Cruz and his wife Susan of West Islip, NY, Isaac Bracero and his wife Olivia of Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren: Jennifer, Robert Jr., Joseph, Stephanie, Michael, Dillon, Alex, Wesley, Nicholas; great grandchildren: Isaac, Lydia, Mikey, Christopher, Kaylee, Easton, Brody, Carter, Colby, Avery, Brennen.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in West Islip, NY at a later date. Following the Mass, Emilio will be laid to rest with his wife Nadia at The Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. Cremation care provided by Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
