Vernon Richard Brown, age 72, Inverness, FL passed away Oct 10, 2019 in Citrus Memorial Hospital. Vernon was born in Ft. Meade, FL on July 4, 1947 to the late Donald Hugh Brown, Sr. and Cleo Pippin Brown and moved to Citrus County in 1988 from there where he was employed in the phosphate industry as a Superintendant for many years. Vernon was an avid bow hunter and loved to spend time in the woods. He enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness. He also had a passion for cooking and loved watching football and baseball, especially when the Buccaneers or Tampa Bay Rays would play.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 28 years, Jacqueline Owen Brown of Inverness; his 2 daughters: Krista Adams and husband Robert of Lakeland, FL and Jennifer Chancey of Cleveland, TN; 3 stepdaughters: Teena Wasik, Delano, MN, Crystal McFarland, Unity, ME, and Joni McFarland, Inverness, FL; 1 sister, Frances Brown Douglas and her husband Bobby, Lake Mary, FL; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald H. Brown, Jr.
