Ray Noel Stewart, 98, of Hernando, FL passed away September 21, 2019 at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Lima, OH on June 4, 1921 to the late Jesse and Caroline (Kraus) Stewart.
Ray was a crane operator in the recycling industry, and arrived in this area in 1989, coming from New Hampshire. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors.
Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn Stewart in 2004, one brother, Joe Stewart, and one sister Doris Gebert. He is survived by his son David E. Stewart and his wife Anne of Hernando, FL; grandchildren Melissa, and Sabrina Stewart; and great grandchildren, Carly and Lila Vale, and Maya Stewart.
Graveside services with military honors are scheduled for Friday, October 11th at 2:30 P.M. from Florida National Cemetery. A procession for the cemetery will depart the funeral home at 1:45 P.M.
