John Quincy Marshall, M.D., age 90, of Hernando, FL, died at home on August 28, 2019, under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice. Dr. Marshall was born in Lowell, MA on May 23, 1929 to the late Orland Marshall, M.D. and Stella (Conti) Marshall, and came here in May of 1995, from Ft. McClellan, Alabama. He was a retired medical doctor, having practiced with the Citrus Memorial Hospital staff, his own private practice, and retiring from the Citrus Cardiology Group. Dr. Marshall served our country in the U.S. Army and later in the Reserves.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife, Mary (Kasyan) Marshall of Hernando, FL; children: John Marshall and wife, Geneva of Billerica, MA, Peter Marshall, M.D. of Augusta, ME, Kate Poirier and husband, Greg, of Salem, MA, Jessica Henry and husband, John of Wesley Chapel, FL, Jerome Fleeman and wife, Jennifer of Panama City, FL; and 6 grandchildren: Attie, Robert, Gregg, Jenna, Evan, and Rachel.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, September 13th at 11:30 A.M. with V.F.W. Post # 4337 officiating. Friends may join the family at the funeral Friday at 10:00 AM. The procession will leave promptly at 10:30 A.M. for the cemetery. Cremation with care under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
