Macarious Buchanan

Macarious “Carrie” Buchanan, 74 of Inverness, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Lecanto. Carrie was born in New Britain, CT on March 27, 1944 to the late Leslie Charles and Virginia Rita (Ormsby) Williams. She came to Citrus County in 2017 from Connecticut. Carrie was a vocational job coach and Catholic by faith. She loved crafting, sight seeing while riding in the car and she especially enjoyed spending time with her husband and family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Larry Buchanan; 2 daughters: Janette “Jan” Cameron and her husband Brendon of Middletown, CT and Tina Buchanan of North Guilford, CT; her sister, Maureen Merola and her grandson Joey Hawkes. A visitation with gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness. Additional services will be at a later date in Connecticut. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to www.vitascommunityconnection.org in Carrie’s name to Program 78, Team 864.
