Carol Judith Kurdt, age 80, of Inverness, FL passed away while under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL on March 3, 2019. Carol was born on June 26, 1938 in Amityville, N.Y. to the late Louis George and Marguerite Alice (Wood) Kurdt.
She made Citrus County, FL her home in 1996 after relocating from Phoenix, AZ and was Catholic by faith. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed making arts and crafts and had taught ceramics in the past. She loved playing bingo, was a great bowler that had been the secretary for her bowling league in Centereach, NY. Carol was very athletic and had helped coach and umpire baseball and softball teams when her children were young. She was an excellent baton twirler and had judged several twirling competitions. Carol also enjoyed the outdoors and going canoeing and camping. She was an excellent cook and will be remembered for her great beef stew.
Those left to mourn Carol’s passing include her children: John Sesso of Sound Beach, N.Y., Michael Sesso of Huntersville, N.C., Lisa Ann Sesso of Holbrook, N.Y.; sister, Della Van Riper of Lindenhurst, N.J.; grandchildren: Robert Karszen and Elle Fulton (Sesso); niece, Dawn Brenner if Bayport, N.Y.; nephew, Rich Van Riper and his daughter Kira; best friend, Janice Johnson of Brentwood, N.Y.; and many other friends and family members.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
