Wayne H Lindhe

Wayne Howard Lindhe, age 75, of Homosassa, FL, passed away at Citrus Health and Rehabilitation in Inverness on February 11, 2019. Wayne was born on April 30, 1943 in Vallejo, CA to the late Leslie and Violet (Pelatrow) Lindhe. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. On April 9, 1986 he married Joanne (Dalia), with whom he shared 32 years of loving marriage. Wayne and Joanne made Citrus County, FL their home 9 years ago after relocating from Glenham, N.Y. Wayne was a retired carpenter but continued to work as a craftsman and enjoyed his workshop. He even used his carpentry skills to construct a cradle for one of his grandchildren. Wayne had a great love for his wife Joanne and did everything he could to make sure she was happy.

In addition to his wife Joanne, those left to mourn Wayne’s passing include his brother, Lucky Lindhe of Highland, N.Y.; son, Wayne Lindhe of Highland, N.Y.; stepson, Guy Ferdico and his wife Andrea of Homosassa, FL; stepdaughter, Perinne McVey of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Lindhe in 2018.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL where full military honors will be rendered by Inverness VFW #4337 Honor Guard. Friends are invited to join Wayne’s family at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home on the morning of the service and join the procession to the cemetery that will depart promptly at 10:15 AM. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
