Dorothy Frances Cendroski, age 89, of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on January 25, 2019. Dorothy was born on November 2, 1929 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late John B. Smith and Frances Baker. She had just relocated to Inverness from Ronkonkoma, N.Y. in December of 2018 and was looking forward enjoying all that Florida has to offer. Prior to starting a family, Dorothy worked in Finance for First National City on Wall Street in New York City for over 10 years. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and had especially enjoyed her trips to Niagara Falls, Maine and California. She was a great teacher of life and loved her son and family deeply. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving and caring mother.
Dorothy’s memory will be cherished by her son, John Cendroski of Inverness, FL; and sister, Eleanor Ryan of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Zigmond Cendroski in 1987. She was also preceded in death by four siblings: Junie, Lillian and Reine. Cremation care is under the care of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
