On Monday January 28th, 2019, our beloved Jacob Clay Wharton went home to be with The Lord. Jacob was born on May 31st, 2000 in Lakewood, NJ. Jacob was a senior at Citrus High School as well as a dual enrolled student at Withlacoochee Technical College. Jacob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to spend his free time with his family, friends, and all their family animals or pets.
He is preceded in death by, Johnny Roddy (Maternal Grandfather), John M. Wharton Jr. (Paternal Grandfather), Duncan Burnette (Paternal Step-Grandfather), Robert Nay (Maternal Step-Grandfather), and Caroline Roddy (cousin).
He is survived by both parents, John M. Wharton III and Melissa Roddy Wharton. In addition, he is also survived by his brother John M. Wharton IV, sister in-law Kali Wharton, and twin sister Jordan L. Wharton. Grandparents, Donna Nay (Maternal Grandmother), Carolyn Burnette (Paternal Grandmother), Deborah Roddy (Maternal Step-Grandmother), and Kati Wharton (Paternal Step-Grandmother). Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, Sonya and Mike Boles (Joey & Sara), Amanda and Robert Brooks (Sophie), Jason and Megan Roddy (Gavin & Jade), and Christopher and Lacie Roddy (Stella) and many more family members, and friends.
He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. Jacob was an amazing, son, brother, nephew, family member, and friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February, 2nd at 6:00pm in the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness, FL is assisting the family with cremation care arrangements.
