Joan Roberta O’Berry, age 84, Inverness, FL passed away January 23, 2019. Mrs. O’Berry was born on September 7, 1934 in Mannington, West Virginia to the late William A. and Mary Moore Arnett and came to Citrus County in the 70’s from Jacksonville and Haines City, Florida. She worked as a legal secretary in her early years and then joined her husband as a commercial truck driver. She was a member of the Inverness Church of God. During her years, Mrs. O’Berry enjoyed attending Gospel Singing Venues in Florida and Tennessee. She also enjoyed spending family time with her many nieces and nephews whom she was affectionately known by as “Aunt Jo.”
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 51 years, William “Bill” O’Berry of Inverness, FL; 1 brother, Herbert Arnett of Dover, Ohio: 11 nieces and nephews, and 19 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, William I. Arnett on July 13, 1982 and her sister, Jean Arnett Connors on June 1, 1986.
There will be no services. Cremation with care under the direction of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness, FL.
