Patricia A. Swanson, age 95, of Hernando, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 after a long illness, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Boston, MA in 1923 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Jane (Robinson) Hession. She resided in Arlington and Lexington, MA until moving to Florida in 1989 with her husband Bob.
Patricia enjoyed playing golf and tennis but, her passion was gardening, and as a Florida Master Gardner, she spent most of her time in the yard. She had many achievements and accomplishments throughout her full life but, her greatest accomplishment, along with her husband, was being the best mother any kid could ever want. She always provided unconditional love and support no matter what. She showed her son the meaning of unselfishness, and the value of love. Patricia taught her son Robert to believe in himself and to have total confidence in whatever he did and to never give up. It was a comfort to know that no matter what happened, his mom and dad were always there for him. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Swanson, Sr. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Swanson, Jr. of Hernando, FL; two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
