Newville S Solomon

Newville S. Solomon, 87, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away December 15, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Ocala, FL. He was born in Jackson Town, Jamaica on August 23, 1931 to the late Ralph and Doris (Ferguson) Solomon and arrived in the area in 1994, coming from New York. Newville attended the First United Methodist Church of Inverness, FL and was an active choir member. He also enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Hilda May Solomon, two brothers Alphonso and Creighton Solomon, and one sister Evelyn Solomon. Survivors include his children Carey Solomon and his wife Jacqueline of Belle Meade, NJ, Everton Solomon of Dallas, TX, Patrick Solomon and his wife Carol of Orlando, FL, Neville Solomon and his wife Edda of Jamaica, Maxine Jones Solomon and her husband Evan of Millstone, NJ, and Bridgett Solomon of Beverly Hills, FL; sister Depsie Solomon of Canada; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. A Gathering and Sharing of Remembrance followed by a memorial service will be held for Newville on Saturday, January 12, 11:00 A.M. at the 1st Assembly of God Church in Inverness, with Pastor Dairold Rushing officiating. Newville’s urn will be laid to rest a Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.
