Carey L. Bryant

Carey Lee Bryant, 61, Citrus Springs, FL passed away on November 2, 2018, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Carey was born in Berwyn, PA on August 2, 1957, to the late Charles and Marjorie (Ingram) Bryant, Jr.

Carey and Marianne made their home in Citrus County in 1986 after spending many wonderful years in Connecticut. After 20 years in various hydraulics businesses in the Ocala, Florida area, in 2012 Carey started his own business, Emergency Hydraulics, and worked closely with E-One.

Carey was a simple man, he loved his family, his workers, and his friends. He loved to watch the birds that would come to his bird feeder outside of his porch. He enjoyed watching football on the weekends and cheering on the UCONN’s women’s basketball team each season. His dream was to own a cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, once he retired. Those that knew him will miss his quirky sense of humor, his corned beef hash at Christmas time, and his words of wisdom and take on life.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marianne Schmitt Bryant, Inverness; 4 children: Charles Austin Bryant and his wife, Julynnet, Inverness; Holly Marie Treece and her husband, Kyle, Winter Springs, FL; Cara Leigh Whitaker and husband Donnie, Inverness; Caitlin Elizabeth Bryant, Citrus Springs; 2 brothers, Craig Ingram Bryant, Goldsboro, N.C. and Charles Odell Bryant, III, Boerne, TX; 1 sister, Charlotte Bryant Graham, Michigan; 3 grandchildren: Lily, Cecil, and Emma. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother and a sister, Curtiss Bryant and Linda Cornell.

At Carey’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory, Inverness, FL.
