Swantje “Swan” Grabow Dixon, age 52, Inverness passed away at home on October 30, 2018 under the loving care of her family. “Swan” was born in Hamburg, Germany on November 26, 1965 to the late Peter and Doris (Trautmann) Grabow and came to Citrus County in 1998 from Jacksonville, FL. She was a licensed real estate agent and co-owner of ERA American Realty and Investments.

Swan was a devoted wife, fantastic mother to two daughters and 3 step daughters and a genuine friend to many. She loved the big city but settled in Citrus County for family and the beauty of the land she loved working outdoors in the yard. Swan was an aspiring quilter as well as an amazing baker and family cook. She had a keen eye for a bargain and always found the best deal. In addition, she was a world traveler, avid reader, a committed Lightning Hockey fan and season ticket holder. As a duel German-American citizen, Swan followed German world cup soccer, the band Depeche Mode and enjoyed spending Christmas in the German Christmas market.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Christopher “CJ” Dixon of Inverness; 5 daughters, Audrey and Eileen Dixon, both of Inverness; Capt. Danielle Phillips and husband, Major Mike Phillips of Camp Pendleton, CA; Nicole Dew and husband Harrison of Jacksonville; Kimberly Dixon of Orlando; her brother, Dr Tim Grabow and his wife Jessica and their daughter Mia of Wiesbeden, Germany; mother in law, Laura Dixon; brother in law, Denmar Dixon and wife Ellen; sister in law, Valerie Hale and her husband Kirk; 1 grandchild, Maverick Dew and another grandchild soon to arrive.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Kell officiating. Following cremation, burial will follow at a later date in Germany. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service. Following the Celebration of Life Service there will be a reception for family and friends at the Inverness Golf & Country Club.
