Where Planning Is A Gift That Lives On
John Trenton Sanders

John Trenton Sanders

John Trenton Sanders was born January 18, 2008 and woke with the Lord October 15, 2018. Trenton was a beautiful child, who faced every day with his infectious smile reflecting his passion for life. In spite of numerous physical and developmental challenges, he never stopped living his best life possible.

Trenton was blessed by adoption in 2011, and blessed his mother through his adoption. Over the last seven years he brought joy to his family, and was loved fiercely by both family and friends. He taught us all what love truly means. Trenton and his family were told that he would never reach the milestones that he fought desperately to achieve.

When Sam first met him, he was unable to sit, stand, swallow, speak or lift his head. He and his mother took these assertions as personal challenges, and surpassed everyone’s expectations of development. His most recent, and one of his greatest accomplishments, was taking independent steps. He could speak a few select words, take a dip in the pool, lift his head and acknowledge you, and see and eat some. He made it through countless surgeries, hospital stays and therapy sessions, and even attended school for a bit. Trenton didn’t just survive; he thrived. Though he lost his battle this week, he passed peacefully in his sleep at home, knowing that he was the center of the circle of light and love with his family.

His end of life is eclipsed by the loudness of the years he spent with a smile on his face and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts. He loved to travel and visited many states and countries via plane, car and even ship. He dined with dignitaries, jammed with notable musicians, made friends with famous animals and loved every moment! He loved amusement parks and Broadway shows. He rode almost every ride at Disney World, and fed dolphins at Sea World and played with the Cheetahs at Bush Gardens. He was always up for an adventure, but his favorite place to cuddle was in his mother’s lap.

Trenton is preceded in death by his sister, Lauren Marie Sanders, another special child saved by adoption, in 2015. He is survived by his mother, Samantha “Sam” Sanders; grandparents Lt Col (Ret.) John and Mrs. Jo Ann Sanders; Uncle Russell Sanders and Keli; cousins Aeden, Avery, Lynette, Rico, Bobby, and Johnny. It is said that grief never ends because love never dies. While we grieve Trenton’s passing, we also celebrate the life and love of this very special child.

We will celebrate his life and legacy on Friday, October 26th from 6:00 PM until the service begins at 7:30 PM.at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Pratt of the First United Methodist Church of Inverness will officiate. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL on Saturday at 10:00AM..
