Myrtle Aldene Thomas, age 89, of Floral City, FL passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville, FL.
Myrtle was born in a one room log cabin in Georgia on February 2, 1929. She was the daughter of John W. and Cloye (Jefferson) McPhatter. Myrtle married George B. Thomas on August 21, 1982. She and George made Floral City their home in 1992 after relocating from St. Petersburg, FL. She was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed reading in her spare time.
In addition to her loving husband George, those left to mourn Myrtle’s passing include her sons: Michael Adams and his wife Elizabeth of Pinellas Park, FL, Timothy Adams of Holcombe, WI; daughter, Linda Hazellief of Okeechobee, FL; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Myrtle was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel McPhatter and her sister, Doris Godwin.
Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
