Lawrence J. Hougendobler, 93, of Floral City, FL passed away July 22, 2018 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Forest, OH on December 28, 1924 to the late Joseph and Ethel (Hickle) Hougendobler.
Lawrence was an investment banker, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, and a Methodist by faith. He arrived in this area in 1988, coming from Tampa, FL. Lawrence held memberships in the Senate Lodge #378, F. & A.M. in Forest, OH, and the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite in Cambridge, OH. He loved all antiques and enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Faye Hougendobler in 2011. Survivors include his daughters Cheryl Parrish of Coshocton, OH, and Diane Starr of Solon, ME; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
