Dr. Barnes Randall Kendrick, Sr., 95, of Lecanto, FL passed away July 4, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. He was born in Tallahassee, FL on October 20, 1922 to the late Odis Gilben and Leila (Randall) Kendrick, Sr.

He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII, as well as the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, retiring after 28 years of service acquiring the rank of Colonel. After relocating to Tallahassee, he founded the Faith Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee, and the Tallahassee Boat Club. He arrived in this area in 2010, coming from Quitman, GA. He enjoyed grandfather clocks and antique clocks, and collected antique cars.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Etta Jo Kendrick in 2012, and one brother, Odis Kendrick. Survivors include his children Barney Kendrick, Jr. and his wife Karen of Jacksonville, FL, James E. Kendrick and his wife Therese of Inverness, FL, Franklin D. Kendrick of Tallahassee, FL, Shawn Culbertson and wife Janet of Sopchoppy, FL, and Leila E. Kendrick of Jacksonville; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, 11:00 A.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, with Pastor Mike Fonfara officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A Military Honor Guard Presentation will be conducted after the service by VFW. Post 7122, Floral City, FL.
