Donald Edward Weaver, age 54, of Inverness, FL, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 30, 2018. Donald was born in Miami, FL on November 25, 1963 to the late Frank and Barbara (Guthrie) Weaver.
He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Most recently, Donald was employed by Duke Energy as a Plant Operator. He moved to Inverness, FL in 2009 after relocating from Alabama and met his fiance’ Annie Lawless shortly after his relocation. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hanging out by the pool, operating his drone and playing with his R.C. tank. Most recently, he and Annie had enjoyed taking trips in their R.V. Donald loved all his family, children and step-children. He was also especially proud of his son in law and his service to the United States Navy. Donald will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and having a big heart.
In addition to his fiance’ Annie Lawless, those left to mourn Donald’s passing include his daughters: Nicole and Meagan Weaver of Oneonta, AL; stepdaughters: Ashley Fleming of Clearwater, FL, Briana Patrick and her husband Scott of St. Mary’s, GA, Hayley Fleming of Palm Harbor, FL; brothers: Bill Weaver and his wife Melanie of Talladega, AL, John Weaver of Miami, FL; and granddaughter, Elliott Anne Patrick.
A celebration of Donald’s life is scheduled for Friday, July 6, 2018 at 7:30 PM with Pastor Kevin Ballard of Calvary Chapel, Inverness officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM or from 6:00 PM until the hour of service. Following cremation, Donald’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
