Janice Kay Smith, 71, of Hernando, FL passed away June 26, 2018 at Citrus Health & Rehab in Inverness, FL. She was born in Port Huron, MI on October 3, 1946 to the late Jack and Virginia (Sawdon) Thompson.
Janice was an Executive Housekeeper for Anheuser-Busch, and served time in the Merchant Marines. She was Protestant by faith, and loved playing BINGO! and going to casino’s with her best buddy Dawn Weymouth. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, boating, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Richard C. Smith in 2013, and one son, Ronald J. Smith in 2011. She is survived by her children, Richard John Smith of Hernando, FL, Angela Loggins of Hernando, FL, and Andrea Richter of Inverness, FL; 1 brother John W. Thompson and his wife Sandra of Zephyrhills, FL; one sister, Nancy Howe and her husband James of Cape Canaveral, FL; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
