Morton E. Willis, Jr., 91, of Inverness, FL passed away June 16, 2018 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing in Inverness. He was born in Worcester, MA on July 14, 1926 to the late Morton E. and Grace (Peterson) Willis, Sr.
Morton was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, a Catholic by faith, and a Masonry Contractor in the construction industry. He originally arrived in this area in 1959, then relocated to North Carolina; returning to this area in 2010. Morton enjoyed fishing, hiking, and loved spending time with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edith in 2016, and one son, Jim Jordon. Morton is survived by his children Jon Willis of Morrisville, NC, Karl Willis and his wife Donna of Bay Village, OH, Steve Willis and his wife Linda of Inverness, Scott Willis and his wife Betty of Crawfordville, FL, Sue Sargent and Wendy Strickland, both of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; sisters Carleen Zembko and Dorothy Viccaro, both of Rocky Hill, CT; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
