Carole A. MacDonald, 81, of Hernando, FL passed away June 11, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL. She was born in Medford, MA on December 23, 1936 to the late Clifford and Anne (Fraser) Bain.
Carole was an insurance clerk for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston, MA, and arrived in this area in 1996, coming from Billerica, MA. She was a Christian by faith, and attended the First Church of God in Inverness. She enjoyed traveling, being a homemaker, and loved spending time with her friends, especially her “Bible and Breakfast” friends.
Carole was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Donald S. MacDonald in 2012, one son, Steward Donald MacDonald in 1990, and one sister June Hollis. She is survived by her daughter Christine A. Pappas and her husband Michael of Salem, MA; brothers Richard Bain and his wife Marilyn of Carrabassett Valley, ME, and William Bain and his wife Carole of Lynnfield, MA; sisters in law Laurel Ash and her husband Paul of Hollis, NH, and Muriel MacDonald of Bridgewater, MA; one grandchild Alexia; and one granddog Misha.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Carole will be held at the First Church of God in Inverness, on Monday, 11:00 A.M., with Pastor David McCane officiating.
