Dale C. Locke, 82, Inverness passed away Saturday, April 22, 2018 at his home under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
Dale was born in New Port Richey, FL on April 28, 1935 to the late Floyd G. and Mae (Falany) Locke and came to Citrus County in 1953 from Brooksville, FL. He worked for the Citrus County School System for 25 years as a supervisor in the utility division and was of the Protestant Faith. His favorite times were when he was fishing and hunting.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Diane Bywater and Kathy Locke, both of Inverness; his brother, Glenn Locke; 2 grandchildren, Katie Bywater and Emily Locke.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Edna Mae August 22, 2014 and his son, Dale C. Locke, Jr on November 4, 2005. He also was preceded by 2 sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn.
A Celebration of Life for Dale is scheduled for Saturday, April 28th at 11:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lyman ,Chaplain of Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
